Privacy Notice
Version: September 26, 2026 · UMI AI, Inc.
What is collected
SignRush uses your verified Google account identity and email, a pseudonymous account identifier, consent events, timestamps, submitted video, prompts, interpretations, quality ratings, validation activity, upload hashes and task provenance. The current recorder does not request audio. Infrastructure providers may process device/network information to deliver and secure the service; this consent receipt does not add IP-address collection.
Optional background
You may optionally tell us your ASL experience, whether you identify as Deaf, Hard of Hearing or hearing, and your connection to ASL such as signer, learner, interpreter or translator. Every question supports skipping or prefer-not-to-say. These self-reports help us understand the community. They are stored privately with your account, not on leaderboards and not included in corpus exports by this implementation. They are not verified credentials.
Why and how data is used
We operate accounts and tasks, record consent, prevent known duplicate participation and self-review, validate meaning and recording quality, preserve provenance, manage rewards and respond to privacy requests. Under the Contributor Data & AI License, contributions may also be processed for commercial AI training, evaluation, benchmarking and commercial dataset licensing, including third-party training. Derived face/hand/body features, motion representations, keypoints and embeddings may be identifying or sensitive.
Who receives data
Access may be provided to authorized independent reviewers, hosting/storage and other processing providers, AI developers, dataset customers, research organizations and transaction successors, consistent with the contributor license and applicable restrictions. Commercial licenses may include raw recordings and derived data. Identifiable public promotional use is not covered. Access or processing may occur in other countries, subject to applicable legal requirements; accepting does not waive those requirements.
Retention and security
Contributions may be retained while needed for the licensed corpus, validation and research purposes; consent/provenance records may be retained to document lawful use and resolve disputes. Failed material is distinguished from validated material. Retention is subject to applicable deletion, restriction and legal obligations, rather than a promise of automatic deletion after a fixed period. The system uses authenticated access, private media storage, short-lived playback links and restricted review records. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and requests
You may skip background questions, stop submitting, or choose Stop contributing in Account without deleting your original agreement record. For access, correction, deletion or restriction requests, use the private Privacy request form in your signed-in Account. Requests are recorded for operator handling; submitting a request does not claim deletion is already complete. SignRush will verify the request and apply relevant legal obligations. Previously trained model knowledge cannot necessarily be individually removed; lawful records and representations may remain where permitted.
Adults and policy changes
SignRush currently accepts contributors aged 18 or older. We do not offer a minors participation flow. Updated contributor terms require a fresh affirmative acceptance. The exact accepted document versions and content hashes are recorded in an immutable consent event.
