Terms of Service

Version: terms-2026-09-26-v3 · UMI AI, Inc.

Joining SignRush

SignRush is operated by UMI AI, Inc. Participation is for adults aged 18 or older who have legal capacity to enter this agreement. By affirmatively accepting, you agree to these Terms, the Contributor Data & AI License, and acknowledge the Privacy Notice. You may stop participating at any time.

Your contributions and authority

Submit only your own recordings and interpretations, or material you have full authority to license. You represent that submissions do not knowingly infringe copyright, privacy, publicity, confidentiality or contractual rights. Do not include non-consenting identifiable people, private medical information, government identification, financial credentials, confidential information or copyrighted media you do not control. Healthcare scenarios are fictional training prompts, not a request for your medical history.

A fair game

Express the intended meaning naturally in ASL; English word order is not required. One known person may contribute only once per meaning and cannot review their own recording or a meaning already exposed to them. Do not share accounts, answers or prompts to influence reviews. Independent reviewers assess meaning and usable quality. Disputes may require expert review. Rejection or submission alone does not guarantee credit. Accurate interpretations are retained even when they differ from the prompt.

Rewards and compensation

The reward and conditions displayed for a task govern that task. Game points are recorded separately from approved cash earnings; they do not create cash balances or convert automatically. No future earnings, hourly wage or bonus award is guaranteed. Any separately offered task compensation, together with access to participation, is consideration for the rights granted in the Contributor Data & AI License. No continuing royalties, residuals or revenue share are owed unless separately agreed in writing. You do not acquire ownership of SignRush datasets, models or products.

Unusable videos and three strikes

Reviewers can report non-signing or obvious spam separately from poor lighting or unusable quality. Three independent eligible unusable-video reports remove a recording from circulation when there is no established three-person meaning consensus. A cheating strike requires three independent spam/non-signing reports; poor quality alone does not count as a strike. Original reports and private evidence are retained for review.

On the first and second confirmed misconduct incidents, only points attributable to that recording are revoked. On the third, all remaining current game points are forfeited and signing and validation access is cancelled, including known linked accounts. These consequences are recorded in an audit ledger. The current system has no cash balance or external payment reversal. You may submit a private request through Account if you dispute a restriction; a request does not automatically restore access.

Your account

Keep your account secure and provide accurate eligibility information. SignRush may pause participation for missing consent, misconduct or invalid submissions. Optional background questions are self-reported and do not certify proficiency or interpreter credentials. Questions may be skipped; answering them does not guarantee task eligibility.

Changes and stopping participation

Material updates to the contributor agreement require a new affirmative acceptance before further tasks. An old acceptance is not automatically treated as accepting new commercial rights. Use Stop contributing in Account to end future participation. Your original agreement and license records remain on file; stopping does not itself cancel the license for existing contributions, subject to applicable law. Applicable privacy rights remain available under the Privacy Notice. These Terms do not waive rights that cannot legally be waived.
